For a healthy life, hormones should be balanced. Hormones affect our hunger, sleep, taste, mood and even sex life. So, for a fit and healthy life, it should be necessary to balance the unbalanced hormones.

What are Hormones?

            These are a chemical messenger of body and reach other body parts and tissues through blood circulation. Balanced hormones are good for :
  • Growth of body
  • Metabolism
  • Sexual activities
  • Reproduction
  • Mood etc.
                        Hormones are constructed with the help of good fat and cholesterol. Lack of these two causes problem of hormone imbalance.

Symptoms of hormones imbalance: 

  • Weight gain
  • Stomach fat
  • Tiredness
  • Irritation
  • Mood swing
  • Disturbed or no sleep
  • Too much sweat during night time
  • Constipation

Solution :

  • Avoid high Omega 6 Polyunsaturated fats.
  • Consume less caffeine.
  • Don't use plastic or non-stick utensils.
  • Take coconut in your diet because it is very helpful in balancing hormones and controlling weight.
  • Do some light workout like walking, jogging etc.
  • Don't do the hard workout as it may increase the problem.
  • Eat more carrot, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower.
  • Take 2 to 3 teaspoons of flax seeds in your daily diet.
  • Green tea also helps to balance the hormones and improves the metabolic rate of the body. So it contributes to reducing weight.
  • Use extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable oil.
  • Dry fruits are very healthy. Take some almonds and walnuts daily as almonds are rich in protein and fiber whereas walnuts include melatonin which is like a hormone that helps in good sleep.
  • Drink approximately 2 litres of water.
  • The curd is also helpful to balance hormones. so, consume it on daily basis.
